Welcome to HBACA’s Grassroots Action Center
From time to time, issues arise at the state, county or municipal level where we need a large number of people to call legislators or city council members to express support or opposition to pending legislation.
Our Grassroots Action Center allows us to link you with your elected officials so that you can easily contact them when these types of issues come up.
When we have an issue that needs action, HBACA will send you an email with background information on the issue. You are free then to decide whether or not you would like to send an email message to your elected official. If you choose to take action, you simply click on the link provided in the email, and it takes you to the appropriate site to send a message to the targeted elected officials. Depending on the issue, we will either have a message already programmed into the system that you simply click to send, or space will be provided for you to type in your own brief message. The reason we may ask you to send a message in your own words from time to time is it has much more impact than all of us sending the exact same message
The process may seem a little challenging at first, but after one or two tries you will find our Grassroots Action Center really is the easiest way to contact your elected officials
